Learn how to swim with http://sglearnswimming.com

Hi Readers,

Do you love to swim?

It is a sport that you can continue doing for a lifetime because there is no impact in this sport. And do you know that master of fitness, Jack La Lanne, who passed away at age of 97, he used to swim every day for an hour at age of 93.

And it can improve your body endurance, the study showes that sedentary middle aged men and women who did the swimming training for 12 weeks, show that their oxygen consumption improved by 10% and the stroke volume for the amount of blood pumped at each beat increased 18%!!

And do you now that swimming is good for those people who injured their ligaments, or having some old injuries. The resistance of the water makes the muscles to work hard without strain and less impact when working out on the ground.

[Food] Meat N Chill with Grabz App

Hi Dearie,

I am going to share with you my dining experience at a cool restaurant- Meat N Chill near Bukit Timah :) I heard there have the super awesome baby back ribs

It was quite late after my work. It is situated at the Sixth Avenue Centre, not too hard to find.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great! I love their cute drawing on the wall :) It is pretty relaxing to see a flying pig on the walk haha...

Of course we had to try their signature BBQ pork rib with secret marinade (SGD 19)

It is BBQ-ed low n slow for that tender , meaty and robust ribs!

You could choose different sauces- original/cajun/hickory/spicy/Bourbon or Honey Mustard... I chose the honey mustard and J chose the Bourbon :)

To complete the meal, the signature BBQ pork ribs is served with 2 side dishes from ( buttered corn, coleslaw, garden salad, mashed potatoes, rice pilaf, straight cut fries or southern biscuit)

I chose the garden salad and fries!! The salad tastes refreshing and the balsamic dressing is perfect match with the ribs! The ribs is sweet and the salad is bit sweet and sour!

J is starting his meal. We also paired it with Bulmers (Apple) Cider- the Ireland Ireland‘s most popular cider :) (SGD 15)

Thanks to Grabz we save lots of $$ in this meal!

[Review] Bioré Aqua Jelly Makeup Remover

Hi Dearies,

Are you a lazy person but you can't live without makeup? You're going to face the truth- if you don't remove makeup, your skin is going to suffocated.

I simply hate getting rid of my makeup after a party or late night work.  So many of us (including me) skip the steps.. but do you know what are the BIG BIG consequences?

Acne, dark spots result from clogged pores. Yucks, we just can't skip that step. Leftover mascara can lead you to eye infections. I just experienced it last year because of improper makeup removal :(

To make thing easier, all you need is Bioré Aqua Jelly Makeup Remover :) A makeup remover you going to love for your life. Let me share with you my experience with it.

Bioré Aqua Jelly Makeup Remover

  • Smoother jelly-like texture is gentle on skin and rinses of easily and quickly without any harsh tugging or pulling action on skin.

  • High cleansing ability dissolves and lifts of all traces of makeup effortlessly.

  • Made with 40% more moisturizing essence nourishes and hydrates skin for a dewy moisturized finish

  • Lightweight formula leaves skin feeling refreshed, with no sticky or greasy after-feel.

How I use it in my daily life:

1. Pump an appropriate amount (2-3 pumps) onto hands and spread evenly
over face and eye area.

2. Massage gently to dissolve makeup.

3. Rinse thoroughly with water. Dont worry, it is not necessary to remove cleansing liquid with cotton pad or tissue because it acts just like water :)

4. For best results, apply on dry face and hands. Do not use facial cotton pad or
tissue.

The texture:

It is not oily and I don't feel sticky after use  It is super moisturizing at the same time.

It works for long lasting or water resistant make up and it is not oil based. It is perfect for a oily skin user like me.

I really hate applying my waterproof mascara but it removes instantly and completely after first use :) I am impressed with the results.

Where to get one now?
It is available now at all leading supermarkets, personal care stores and western pharmacies & departmental stores at only SGD 24.90 for 230ml

10 ways to lose your fat

1. Working with your abs

Do you know abs work out is the fastest way to lose your belly fat?

2. Working on your CORE

Do you know that core exercises help to train your muscles to stabilize the spine and pelvis so you can avoid back pain and improve posture ?

3. Working out with a CHAIR

Found these series of  exercises online. And i found that it is quite useful. you will sweat a lot repeating the following exercises each for a minutes :)

4. Eat more fish rather than red meats

Hmmm do you know that regular fish eaters will hace lower levels of the hormone leptin which led to low fat level? It helps to increase your metabolism rate too :) try to make consume 3-4 servings of a fatty fish in each week!

5.  Eat your Breakfast
Studies show that breakfast is crucial in successful weight loss and it helps to boost your metabolism. Aim for a 300 calories breakfast. My favourite is yogurt pairs with high fiber cereal :) get skim milk and some fruits if you still feel hungry in the morning.

6. Chew your bites few more times
It is important that we chew our food at least 40 times per bite. Because it help us to eat less (our body generates less ghrelin, a hormone that will boost our appetite).

Plus, the more your chew, the more better for your digestive system to work better to absorb the nutrients for your body. Eat slower and slim down fast :)

7. Drink more green tea
Yes, it is that simple! Green tea help you to lose weight. It contains EGCG- which can reduce fat absorption for your body. Try replace your daily Gong Cha or KOI drink to 3-5 cups of regular greentea (no sugar).

8. Drink water
If you are feeling hungry after a meal, it means that your body is telling you that you are thirsty. quick, drink 16 ounces of water and wait for 15 minutes. Wahla, you won't feel hungry again :)

9. Standing instead of sitting
Brother and sister, you need to move everyday. If you work for a full time office/sitting job, you need more exercise than those people standing a lot. Stand up, use the stairs, walk around your office during your tea break. Extra movement did make a difference.

10. Sleep earlier and wake up earlier

Time is never enough for us, but always remember sleeping is crucial for our body to do work. If we do not rest properly, your body can't rest. Sleep deprived people also feel hungry all the time and eat more. When you are hungry and restless, you do make silly mistakes at work and eat like a monster.
