Hi Dearies,

Long time I didn't update my blog. I have been a loyal singtel customer since 2012. Recently my contract ended and I switch to Circle Life. Porting over is hassle free, just need to wait your telco to release your no and make sure you are done with your contract.

For my case, they keep telling me i ended my contract earlier and charge me a contract early termination penalty 3 months later which is terrible. I am going to ban Singtel for LIFEEEEE and no matter how good their advertisement is, dont trust them.

My house internet also the same, keep dropping line and after numerous complaint, they told you sorry, you will need to upgrade your service. Free upgrade etc, dont believe them. They are never going to be FREE, else how they manage to psycho consumer using BIG ADVERTISEMENT. Free for months you also need to think, else they may sudden charge you high price without you even knowing. Dishonest business in Singapore.

My life has never be better.

  • Bill transparency
  • No hidden charge
  • Always can customize your data, sms and call

How to Protect yourself from Haze

Hi Dearies,

I think we all have been troubled by haze recently. The effect of Haze is quite disastrous especially for people who have to work outdoor. I can feel irritation of my eyes especially i wore the contact lenses for long hours. It can caused irritation of eyes, nose and throat, also dizziness and headaches.

Elders should avoid staying outdoor as it may affect people with reduced lung functions, causing shortness of breath and lung infections.

Here are some tips for you all:

1. STAY INDOOR

Avoid physical outdoor activities especially for child and elders.Close the windows and car windows can help to reduce exposure to pollutants in the air.

2. INCREASE WATER INTAKE

Drinking lots of water help your kidneys to flush out the toxins in your body.

3. WEAR MASKS

N95 Mask is very effective if you need to stay outdoor for more than an hour. It will filters 95% of the small particle in the air, especially when the haze PSI is unhealthy.

Soft cotton or surgical mask is not effective when the haze PSI is more than 200, but some pregnant woman, elders with lung conditions may not be suitable wearing N95 mask, it is good to get doctor advices if you have medical conditions.

Buy now from Lazada

4. GET GOOD AIR PURIFIERS

Pay attention to Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR)

Clean Air Delivery Rate to Room Size
For example, a 100 CADR air cleaner will then clean a room size of 155 sq ft. To go the other way, that is to know your room size and to find the right CADR you would then divide your room square footage by 1.55. Say your room is 250 sq ft. Divide this by 1.55 and you get 161.

5. Check myENV app for latest PSI rating and plan your activities for the day.

6. AVOID DRIVING IF VISIBILITY IS BAD

Always remember safety come first. turn on your headlight and drive if you really have no choice. Increase your following distance and stay alert. Else choose public transport when travel.

7. INCREASE FRUIT AND VEGETABLES INTAKE

Taking more vegetables and fruits helps reduce inflammation that caused by inhaling harmful air with fine particles.

Lets stay healthy and love our earth more by creating less rubbish, eat clean and walk through this haze season together.

Did you apply the mask correctly ?

Hi Dearies,

Do you know the right way to apply mask for best result?

Applying mask is good for hot weather and give skin an extra hydration steps . However did you use it correctly?

3 common mistakes we made when we apply mask

1. Tap your skin using fingertips to help better nutrient absorption

WRONG. The motion of tapping the Essence in mask will bring dust and dirt in the air to the skin!!! Your pore is open and it will make the pore be clogged and the nutrients are harder to be absorbed.

2.  Skip the cleansing step after mask

WRONG!! The excess Essence from the mask will stay on your skin and may cause the dusk to accumulate in your pore , so you still need to wash your face with water. Plus, you need to apply moisturiser to lock in the Essence else they will be dry out overnight.

3. Apply the  extra Essence in mask package on your face ?

WRONG! You do not do this, because overly lay Essence to your skin burden it’s condition. It will not be better and caused stress. You can apply it to neck, hand and leg.

I will share with you my favourite mask

I use innisfree Super volcanic pore clay three times a week for a complete detox and deep cleanse

For sheet mask, I love Étude house and Dr Morita , effective and affordable.

Wedding Preparation: How to save money for wedding in Singapore

Hi Dearies,

#Jefferlexxa

Been neglecting this blog for a long time. I had been busy with my personal life, wedding prep for the Big Day!

I will be having a simple wedding lunch with close friends and family. Planning out the big day myself by sourcing out the dress, and wedding planner is easy in Singapore!

I basically can get response fast and easy online or via whatsapp.

So here is my summary for the big day planning. But with great planning, you need to have supportive friends. I feel sending out the invitation is the most challenging one, I would say having great expectation on this portion, you will have great disappointment especially if they need to travel across country.

Here are some great tips for you if you wanna save some bucks and have the same fun:

    1. Venue
      • The most important part of your planning is the size of your guests. If you managed to estimate the crowd size, you will be able to compare the cost of the venue and food items.
    2. DIY
      • I love to DIY my stuffs! All the wedding invitations I get it printed from Taobao.com and DIY the rest myself. You get to save the design cost and expensive printing in Singapore for your gifts also.
    3. Research and ask for quote
      • In Singapore, you get to contact vendors easily and visit them to get the best price, every wedding you will get different needs and requirements. I feel you need to know what you want, and use your negotiation skills.
    4. Credit card
      • Using the right credit card help you to manage your finance properly. Do your maths and earn the best rebates. Eg: OCBC cash flow help you to split big amounts to three installments.
    5. Guests
      • Here comes the difficult parts. Who to invite? And how to invite? Always invite guests who respect your invitation and not to over invite people. Else, you will have lots of empty seats and waste your money. Be respectful and give a follow up call and text to unconfirmed guests.
    6. Prewedding Photoshoot
      • Prewedding photoshoot in Singapore are expensive. I would suggest taking prewedding photoshoot in Malaysia, China or Taiwan. Note: It is way cheaper to sign up package at that country itself. Always do your homework, you probably can get nice island prewedding shoot in China below $1K SGD. And you get to leave good memories at that country as well. I managed to take some BFF wedding photo in Taiwan for SGD 300 per person, comes with makeup, unlimited photoshoot and two wedding gowns.
    7. Photography
      • Check out carousell. There are so many nice freelancer photographer available and their works is decent. You get to choose and try them out for your bridal party and save lots from bridal studio.
    8. Cut down miscellaneous cost
      • Cut down unnecessary cost and plan ahead. I choose lunch to make it easier for my family and friends.
      • Planning ahead and talk to your partner.
      • Simple made perfect

WEDDING UPDATES

I know I have been procastinating for such a Long time. I had been busy with CNY and wedding preparations for my big day in June.

Had been researching for great deals to match my ideal wedding style and Budget as well and finally I settled most of my stuffs yesterday.

There are so many vendors available in Singapore and it’s hard to choose. I have been searching for some nice & reputable vendors in Malaysia but somehow they charged more compared to renowned vendors in Singapore. So definitely a No No for you to engage them.

I would be sharing more details coming out :) hopefully this is a fun journey for me to learn and experience.
